Metallurgical Manager
Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo

An open cast copper/cobalt mine in Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has a contract residential vacancy for a Metallurgical Manager with extensive experience. The salary will be competitive with a person of the right level of experience and competence fully taxable with the potential to earn the same again in terms of a bonus.

REQUIREMENTS:

Metallurgical Degree with a minimum of 7 years experience in the mining industry
Very good copper-cobalt hydrometallurgy experience
Knowledge of gravity separation plants such as DMS, spirals etc.
Running and optimising a 50tph DMS plant
Running a laboratory analysing 2000+ samples per day
Installing spirals plants
Installation and project management of an additional 150tph DMS plant and 4 spiral plants
Design, and management of project to install a 60ktpa Cu plant and 38ktpa Cobalt hydroxy plant and a stream for Co metal
Managing all met activities on site including sampling, assaying, management of dispatch of product, building of team
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
